I mean a LOT! One quilt I started and finished in these recent months is called Stay Home, Stay Safe and Have Faith . Or as my mother always said “Be good, be smart and have fun.” I wanted to share some pictures of my quilt with you: This quilt is based on a paper piecing pattern called “My Kinda Town” by Peggy Larson at Fiberworks. Here are some details of the blocks of my town: A quilter’s house A knitters house My church A row of quilter’s houses The school The beach house Apartment building In this town all the quilters are at home, happily quilting and staying safe. The school is closed but the children are learning online. Our flag is at half-mast to commemorate the overwhelming loss of life. But we are still surrounded with faith that this crazy chaos will result in a new sense of grace, love and community. We are survivors even though we are physically apart. Take care, y’all! In February, we put our house on the market, sold the house in March, bought a new house “closer to town” and moved in April! We downsized our drive and our lot size but not the house! I absolutely love my new home, my new neighbors, my new sewing room and my quick access to friends, family, church and quilt shops! When a quilter moves there are many high priorities! The kitchen needs unpacking… My dog Molly wanted to know that her food and bowls were unpacked. I wondered where to put everything…it all got put away but now I wonder where I put it ...
